April in the Garden

April 8, 2012

When we went out to do some work in the garden this morning the kale blossoms were so beautiful that I decided to cut them and put them in a vase. We very rarely buy cut flowers so it’s a nice treat to have some decoration for our table.

This morning we planted a few more items: carrots, radishes and chives. We need to get some more soil  to plant more next weekend. Slowly but surely the seedlings are getting a bit bigger. Some of them are starting to look like the final product. The strawberry plants that we still have going from last year are looking good and starting to flower. Hopefully that means we’re get more than 1.5 berries this year! Here are some pictures! More to come soon.
